I love reading letters!
When I was a kid, I had pen pals worldwide. What a joy it was to empty the mailbox when I returned home from school and found an envelope with blue and red stripes along the edges indicating “Air Mail.”
I rushed in, eager to open. Carefully, though, so as not to ruin the thin paper inside. This was a way to learn about the world. About other countries and ways of living. At this point, there was no internet. Books at the library were still the primary source of information. And the letters.
Fast-forward 45 years or so, and here we are. I seldom get snail mail nowadays, which is a bit sad. I do, however, still love to read letters. So don’t be shy—write me a letter!
